I'm Julien Viard, Head of Talent at Grid-Link, and my job is to find the exceptional people who help keep Australia's energy transition on the right track.

With over 17 years in recruitment across engineering, digital, and technology, I've built a sharp instinct for spotting talent in highly specialised fields. And in a world of HV substations, grid modelling, and complex commissioning projects, "specialised" is something of an understatement.

I take the time to understand the work, the team, and the culture before I even start looking. That means less noise, better matches, and people who actually stick around. Beyond hiring, I work closely with Grid-Link's leadership on how we attract and grow talent as the business scales.

Connecting the right people to the right roles, in a sector that's literally connecting the country to a cleaner future. I'd say that's a pretty good gig.
